but its now internet that gives everything you want,
i mean it "everyhing you want",,,,
I am proud to say i am Married to internet,
i have never seen something which has that much of patience,
that can take my madness into it,
i am madly in love with internet,
the only thing which blew me after i was born is internet.
Every element in the world has its own positives and negatives,
its the same thing with internet too,
but the positives over ride the negatives by miles incase of internet,
really i dont have words to explain how i feel about internet,
i can say one thing I cant imagine a life with out internet,
its the worst nightmare i face in my life.

Present State Of Mind

At present my state of mind is intrested in things about philosophy ,movies and body building.

Philosophy .....according to me it helps mainly to get away from guilt and makes your own terms and helps you concentrate on things which you want giving less importance to the so called societal and religious values.

Movies is my passion ,,so i will never get away from them at any point of time.I feel it is the most finest art in the world you can come across, which can represent ,showcase and most importantly make others feel whats in the directors mind atleast for the run time.

I want to see myself muscular once in my life before i die, so i started working on that,
and i found it is not at all an easy task to achieve it.There are lot of things which make up a good body.

So from here after i will write the posts or i will copy important information i come across regarding I,Me,Myself ,Philosophy,Movies,Body and passion stuff.Because i believe blog is a personal diary which i can see down the years what are my thoughts at that particular state of mind.

Examples Of Some Successful Filmmakers

I would take a look at all the successful filmmakers we know. The ones who have become successful are the ones who went out there, with little or no money, begged, borrowed, stole and made their first film by hook or by crook, the success of which put them in a position where they could actually pitch and get a film made.

Robert Rodriguez went to Mexico with an Arri S, few Home Depot lights, and a PMD and made El Mariachi which became a cult hit. Shyamalan with a bit of his parents' money came to India and made Praying With Anger which he sold to an American cable TV channel. Richard Kelley got out of USC, found Drew Barrymore through some heavy networking and got Donnie Darko made.

Few filmmakers I know have been able to make features based on thematically similar short films they made. Manish Jha made Matrubhoomi with French money after A Very Very Silent film won the jury prize at Cannes. Richie Mehta raised money and made Amal with Naseer saab after his short of the same name had a successful festival run with lot of exposure. Murali Nair made Oru Neenda Yathra, a short that got nominated for the golden palm at Cannes based on which he raised French money to make a Malayalam feature. He continues making Indian films with French money till today. In fact, he is the man to talk to learn how to pitch a film that perhaps doesn't fit into the moulds of traditional Indian filmmaking.

Script Development 1

What I was taught as part of my screenwriting course at USC was to begin with the protagonist before translating the idea into a story.

Identify the protagonist, then identify his or her main goal, then make up your mind whether or not by the end of the film you want the protagonist to achieve that goal.

Then, write the story. Write in prose if you wish, but write the entire story out as if you were writing the abridged version of a novel, be as detailed as you want. The remaining characters will either be born or develop during this process. Re-write this till you are satisfied.

Then separate that story into 3 acts and make sure each act serves its purpose well.

Then move to the screenplay format where you break this story out into scenes. Write the script outline, which basically means, write the scenes, without dialog.

Once this is done and you have re-written several times and are satisfied with the structure, begin writing in dialogues for each scene. From here on, the script can change on many levels with each re-write.

This is what I was taught in film school. Some writers will say, fuck this formula bullshit and some swear by it because you get to iron out story issues well before you enter screenplay form. I discussed this once with Nagesh Kukunoor who said...I dont know man. I just write.

Believers And Beggers

I strongly believe that there is some super natural force(GOD) which is driving us, there is no doubt about it.

The almighty had given me a good physique and also a beautiful mind. I feel that is enough to survive and create your own mark on this world if you REALLY start utilizing your potentials . Start believing in you, You had that spark in you ,the only thing you need to do is think and work appropriately .If you REALLY start thinking and working you can achieve what ever you want in life. For that you need to have a plan and a course of action. I f you are in this stage , that is where you have enough confidence in you to go get it , then you dont have to beg anything from the almighty.

If you sit idle ,chit chat something without a goal, work on things lazy ,believing in fate ,thinking that almighty might come and do that particular thing for you ,keeping all your failures on destiny without analyzing your faults, thinking that if being good doing good and thinking good will help you or thinking that you are a strong believer in god so he or she helps you , I bet these kind of people will never make it. They will lead a life that is so mechanical which other creatures in this world are living without using their mental capabilities.

I think even Almighty(GOD) hates this kind of people as they are not working upto their potentials and inturn begging god for everything, even to make a decision they beg god . God gave you good physique and mental ability to think and take a decision .God sent Every one here to perform something and achieve something and make your own mark and help some one who is not capable of doing things.Rather doing this People started begging GOD everything .

The people who say they are strong believers in god are the best beggars in this world,
and are the most scared people of god. The way they think about god is , when ever they have a difficulty ,they ask god why you are doing this to me and then they start praying "i say they start begging for that particular thing". If you pray you wont get things done , you should work and think to get things done.

Nothing in this world comes easy , no one in this universe gets anything freely from god without working for it .

Please stop begging god and start working and plan things and work accordingly ,so that you will achieve a result which you can improve by analyzing your previous faults, but dont waste your time and also The most precious time of god for your silly wants.

When you believe in you and have a confidence that you can achieve what you want , then you wont have anything to disturb god because you really dont have anything to beg. Please give him free time to think about the uncapable people either physically or mentally. If you feel you are in that category then you can keep on begging him.

Are Director's Dumb ????? - RGV

Often I hear this question that ‘how come a filmmaker does not realize how bad a film he is making’. The truth is that the filmmaker will be the last to know how the film is shaping up or shaped up.

Many people don’t realize that a film is a collection of a series of decisions taken over a long period of time and each one of those decisions will be influenced by factors which are dominant that particular day. Factor’s will be as varied as the frame of your mind, what films seem to working, the reactions to each idea of your from people you are surrounded by etc. So by the time you finish the film and edit, it is highly likely you have completely forgotten the original intention and objective. When I see a film made by anybody including mine, more than the film I like to study the state of mind of the filmmaker at the time he made it and what could have been the original intentions behind it.

Many have criticized me for being highly cautious in the making of my magnum opus AAG. The Truth is that I have never been more careful and passionate than in the making of any film of mine more than AAG although they have been employed in wrong direction.

I think the most careless I have been so far is in the making of SATYA. I did not have a Script or One Line Order with me on the day of the shoot. That is not to say that is what it takes to make a good film. It is pretty more complex than that.

True Love ?????

I really dont understand what is meant by true love.I fell in love(or like) with many girls from my childhood .

I dont agree that i am attracted or infactuated to them because if i am attracted or infactuated to any one of them i would come up with some lust feelings towards them during my imaginations.I never had lust feeling towards them ,but i just imagined that i am with them, talking something etc. But i felt or dreamt of lust towards some girls or aunts whom i see in the sourroundings.so i can confidently say that i fell in love or i liked them so much.

After all these, a girl asked me recently or made a statement about me "That i did not love any one or i was only attracted to them ", and she said "i am not true in my love" and questioned me how can i love that many girls and also Said that i was a flurt.

So actually what is meant by true love,
1.We should only love one girl in our whole life.
Ans:: I bet this will contradict with every one in the world.
2.So we need to wait for a girl life time to accept our love .
Ans:: Its just waste in ones life waiting for a girl to accept our love.Unless his passion in life is that girl.
3.We should prove something to make girls believe our love.
Ans:: Here comes another point of security for girls to believe us.

As a boy I mention about girls but this same story holds good for boys too.

According to me Every single individual will have a particular instinct about opposite sex in them ,that will make them attract and fall in love or like the opposite sex people.
So in all our lifes if we like 10 girls surely they will have the same instinct in them which we like.

Let me tell you about an incident where a girl questioned me "How can a boy or a girl who are in deep love can think of another one". The best i understood is "The boy or girl liked the other based on their instincts ,what if they met a new one with the same instincts and sounds more positive than the one we had, obviously our heart wont listen to us and moves closely to new one.

According to me there is no true love between a boy and girl ,its purely a situation based thing. Sometimes if we get a lover with all the instincts that we like and we never get a chance to meet another one with same instincts and a better one then we will be loyal to our first one. Or if our lover surprises us by behaving in the way we like to see them or understands us and behaves accordingly ,then there will be a true love.

All Marriages are full of compromise .True love comes out only when the beloved one shows or buys or acts in interest of the other .

I came across a dialogue which make lot of sense to me.For a pair to be happy in life after their love marriage needs 3 important things.
1.Love
2.Time
3.Money
If any one of the above 3 falls short then the relation will not go smooth. If there are hicups in the middle because of the 3 things the couple compromises for couple of times .But if it repeats often the relation will be a disaster.

YSR and Chicken story

As we brought up in an environment saying that if we sacrifice something which we like most and pray for a cause ,it will surely happen. So on implementing this two years back when i was reading about the suicides of farmers related to SEZ(social economic zones) in AP i qutted eating chicken, praying god that this should stop or the people behind this should be brought down from the power.

Later on aug 29 2009 i cursed god a lot after reading an article about farmers suicides because of debts. That too for an amount of 10000 rupees.I felt whats the use of me sacrificing something when there is no use or gain from it.I felt so bad that night and went to sleep. But my instinct strongly warned me that something is gonna happen in the next few days.

So as i said after few days i saw a news snippet saying YSR gone missing ,i felt at that moment i recieved some answer to my prayers, next day they declared he was dead in the chopper mishap.I know its just a coincidence .

Though I never thought that something should happen to YSR ,this came as a surprise to me beacuse at the same moment i am planning to start eating chicken and stop believing in god and follow objectivism of ayn rand.

Later now my mind has completely transformed into another stage that i really stopped in believing these standard procedures of rituals to god .Before i used to become so emotional after reading any article about farmers or people suffering. But after much thinking i stopped becoming emotional and thinking in a strange way as "Why should i sacrifice or feel emotional for some one who can not make it in his life"

I still believe that there is something supernatural that creates and guides beyond our limits, but iam strictly trying to stop in believeing about holy books ,procedures, rituals and practices to please god created by some priest ,preacher or a prohphet. Just we need to think according to situation and take a decision and face it as well as handle it.

I realized Its a pretty dumb thing to sacrifice a habit or a thing and expect something to happen in return to it. I think it looks like a business .Its clearly give and take policy.I quit dealing with this business.

Holy Books should be re written

I am a hindu and one of my friend is a christian, so during one of our conversations, i keep on saying few things that are happening with me and the things that i am doing. She keep on saying "its a big sin " according to their bible, following as a response to the things i did.

Later i said i dont believe in all these books, i said believe in god and not to believe in all these holy books. And asked her to follow her heart to judge whether a particular act or a thing is right or wrong according to the situation. She did not accept a bit of what i said. She says some things are wrong with out judging it .The reason she states is "Its against my holy book".

Definitely things will change according to situation, an innocent boy may kill some one in protecting himself from a thief or a threat. How can we blindly say that innocent man committed a crime.

If we see in the above example, according to my friend and her holy book logic its a crime ,but according to me its a brave thing .

What's the authenticity of these holy books now. Definitely i believe in god ,but i dont believe in those books written by a priest, preacher or a prophet.

1.As things keep on change in todays world ,i believe these holy rules should change.
When these books were written ,
2.Do we have this much population,
3. this much competition
4.did people die of hunger
5.whether there is this much disparity between rich and poor
6.Do they have an insight of internet changing the whole world

I say these holy book rules may hold good at the time they were written,
but they should be re written now or we need to educate our coming generations to think about logic of the situation rather than blindly following these books.

The law we follow today in the world will punish the culprit after following many witness and many sessions of argument. The law will be changed accordingly to situation.
Many new things were ammended in Law books after its first copy ,so whats wrong with the holy books ,why they are being the same.

I dont know how come these true followers of holy books eat non vegetarian items. They will have their own reason for that question.

Give damn to others feelings ,but dont hurt others physically.Just think twice or thrice according to situation before making a decision. And believe in the super natural(GOD) force which is driving us .

Believe in you and not the holy books.

Expectations

Just follow one rule to be happy in life. That is not to have any expectations from anything or anyone.

The difficult thing here is programming your mind for not having any expectations.Off lately we became so addicted to expectations,it became so difficult to get rid of expectations. In this contemporary world, if we helped some one, we are expecting him to help you again when you are in need. Then it does not look like a help ,it can be termed as business.
Its the same thing between lovers, parents, elders ,children.

I tried few times by not expecting returns from few things or deeds but i am unable to apply it in all the situations.

The best thing about ignoring expectations is, we dont wait on results but we will just keep on working .So if we get something from it ,we will be happpy. But if we did not get anything from it.As we already ignored it, so we dont feel or think too much about it.Most marriages or love stories fail due expectations on one another.Rather than making love they are making it a business.

Advice And Advise

Advice:
Opinion about what could or should be done about a situation or problem,
a proposal for an appropriate course of action.

Advise:
To give information or notice to,to inform, with of before the thing communicated ,as, we were advised of the risk,to offer advice to .

The Best way to put a view on above topics is
"I never take advice. Since no two human beings can ever be on the same physical, intellectual or emotional planes and also on top of that in life everything is pretty much so unpredictable and works at random it is stupid for one person to listen to another person’s advice. By RGV"

After reading the above para one can understand what is the importance we should give to others advice, its better to know facts about the things and apply it naturally to your situation and analyze your abilities and inablities to justify it and make a decision.

If you are strong and stick to your decision ,the outcome or result will not bother you at all.Even though its a failure you will be happy with lesson you learnt about analyzing your abilities and inabilities.

Does Opinions Change on Movies?

I watched a Movie again and I didn’t feel it was that bad as what I felt when I watched it first time.

Not only for that Movie but this is true for everything. When we hate something the first time the hatred keeps growing in our mind and imagination as we keep talking and discussing it with others. And when we see it next Time suddenly it won’t look so bad because your mind in its imagination could have made it worse than what it would have been.

On the other hand it can work in reverse too as when you like something very much and you rave about it to all for a period of time and then you see it again you might not like it as much for the same reason.

So opinions on movies tend to change .

Do you think only some people are born special?

NO. All living beings are born with very individualistic and special attributes. But then the surroundings and surrounding factors stop them from realizing that for themselves or worse makes them realize it wrongly. A deer might have a running power, a lion its roar, an eagle can fly, somebody might have intelligence, someone else beauty or sexuality, someone else nothing but even nothing can be very special.

The secret of succeeding with life and not necessarily in life as they both are very different as in the former is from your point of view and the latter from the others point of view is to discover, understand and put your very own individual attributes to a very best and judicious use without guilt but with a very proper understanding.

Also if you look at it the only true assets you ever really have are time and feelings and both of them are perishable. So while they are still there you should not make a mistake of wasting a single second or an iota of them and this purely depends upon your own understanding in discovering what is special in you which obviously will predominantly come from a mindset which is uncorrupted by religion, social programming and more dangerously by your own escapist thoughts of blaming it on destiny and other’s actions.

Does PROMOS help a film?

They can both help and damage depending on individual cases. They create an awareness and prepare the audience to watch the movie in a certain programmed mindset. The problem with this is even the makers many times do not realize what mind set they are preparing out there with the audience.

For instance King Kong’s campaign in its promos and hoardings had a single point agenda that of exciting the people to come and watch a giant gorilla. As this is drilled into all concerned for months by the time the movie releases we all rush in and can’t wait to see the gorilla but instead we are subjected to nearly 45 minutes story without Kong making an appearance.
Why people would be restless in those 45minutes is because the promos prepared us to see Kong and not a story.

In my college days me and my friends went to see a Malayalam film starring Sridevi. The poster had Sridevi with her saree riding up half her thighs and that was the reason we were first in line. The theatre was packed and the film started and it turned out to be a very emotional and tragic and extremely well made film. But the point is we didn’t come to see that. One hour into the film when a scene came where Sridevi was finally wearing the same saree as that of in the poster there was a rustle in the theatre as everybody became high alert. In the scene her legs were shown for exactly one and half seconds in the situation before the film becomes super serious once again till the end. All of us almost wept at the betrayal of that poster.

Now the interesting point is if the distributors put a poster of a close-up of a teary eyed Sridevi instead of her legs we would have been in a mindset of watching an emotional story and then her leg could have come as a bonus if at all or maybe not even noticed as we would be immersed in the story. But looking at the poster of her legs from the still photograph taken at the time of that one and half second shot can create a hurricane in the minds of a particular audience. Anyway this is just one instance I wanted to give in the context of how a campaign can damage.

A Beautifull Word "FUCK"

Though many people take it offensively when some one utters a word FUCK,
I really feel it is the only word in the world which can be used in any sort of
Expression and Emotion.
There may be some 100's of different ways it is used ,but i will
give you just few examples which we hear often.
1. when we see a beautifull girl..........
"Man she is FUCKING hot"
2. When some one screwed something
"aahh I FUCKED it up"
3. When in danger in many Hollywood movies they say
"FUCKING cops are here"
4. when they see some bad thing,
"FUCK! what's that"
5. In Anger heroine say to hero
"Please FUCK off from here"

Just see the beauty of that word ,imagine any other word
you know ,i gurantee you cant get that intensity and strong
impression of situation with out that word.
So stop cursing people who use this word and use the
lovely word to show your Intensity.
If not Please FUCK off!!!!!!!!!!

Small films are next big thing By Allu Sirish - 1

Using the 80:20 principle – we can safely say that the big-budget films form the industry’s backbone as most of the commerce is through these films. Its understood and acknowledged that ’small budget’ films are equally essential to the industry. Many of the classics of telugu cinema, where ’small’ when they released. Many of the biggest names in the industry today – technicians and actor got their ‘big break’ from this form of filmmaking. This article – is more about the economics of these films, rather than their creative importance. Until recently for many years small budget movies – the ones made under a budget of 2 crores have not achieved major success. While there were hits, none of them were ground-breaking.

The earlier scene: In 2000, Chitram by Teja was made on a shoe-string budget of about 50 lakh and went on to collect 8 crores are ‘net revenues’. Bettering that was 2001’s Nuvve Kavali which was made on a meager budget of less than 2 crores, went on to gross over 20 crores – making it one of the most profitable films if one had to calculate RoI (return on investment). 6 Teens was another low-budget sex comedy which had superhit music, youngsters with raging hormones, eye candy and went on to gross over 5 crores. This set off a trend of ‘youth movies’ in telugu films – where filmmakers constantly dished out movies with similar storylines hoping into the cash on the success of the above films. Some succeeded, while most failed and the point came when the audience was fed up of it and the genre was sidelined completely.

There were many small movies through 2002-2007 in telugu films that tasted success such as Show, Missamma, Aithe, Anand, A film by Arvind, Vennela and Pellaina Kotthalo. And then there were the mid-budget films such as Jayam, Pellam Vurelithe, Manasantha Nuvve, Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, Dongodu, Kabaddi Kabaddi, Nuvve Nuvve which steadily supplied the industry with hits. But none of them were ground-breaking or could repeat the magic of Nuvve Kavali.

The ‘Happy Days’ effect: But one film that totally changed the scenario – making everybody sit up and notice small budget films. It was Happy Days. Suddenly, small is in vogue. Everybody is making such films. Technically that movie was made for a little above 2 crores, but that can be excused. The film had an unknown cast, new music director, abused theme of campus romance and director who tasted only moderate success. But that film went on to become one of the biggest hits of 2007 making instant stars out of all the people associated with the film – the huge ensemble of actors right from the lead to the character artistes, the music director Mickey J Myers and director Shekar Kammula who is now seen as a brand name.

The movie got industry counterparts in Chennai and Bombay also talking about it. Its now being remade in tamil and Bollywood. But one feat only Happy Days can boast amongst all small movies is – its blockbuster run in the overseas boxoffice. It crossed the collections of super hits of A-list stars such as Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan! Yes, it did. Happy Days for sure isn’t the ‘father of small budget films’ but sure did revive people’s interests in making such films. And its success is used as a benchmark to measure the success of other films of this league. Unlike the last time luckily, the industry this time seems to have learnt its lesson. They’re not churning out Happy Days clones, but testing subjects from different genre such as thriller, horror, comedies and love stories, ofcourse.

Small films are next big thing By Allu Sirish - 2

Today most people in the industry – big and small want to make a ’small budget film’ with a sub 2-crore budget. It’s not the challenge of telling an interesting story with minimum resources that excites most of these filmmakers, but the economics behind it.

The inflation in production cost from 2000 to now is marginal – while revenues have increased multiple-fold. The inflation is again due to external factors such as higher labour wages, rise in real estate, petrol etc., But pure production material such as raw stock, studio rent, equipment have remained in the same price bracket. Raw stock still costs Rs 10,000 for 1000 feet (which equals 10 mins footage). A small film use about 40-50,000 feet of raw stock. The cost for a single print is still about Rs 50,000 for a 150 minutes film. Rents for studios are between Rs 7,000 per day to Rs 20,000 depending on the location & sound-stage size. Shooting permissions in municipal places such as roads, parks remain almost the same as before. Same is the case for rents for real-life houses, offices, colleges to be used in films. Likewise a lot of other costs have remained in the same price range as before.

Filmmakers who have shot their film completely on digital, ie : HD camera such as Viper, Sony CineAlta or Red One have cut down their costs by a half by shifting from film. The whole process of scanning the footage for editing, dubbing, scoring background score, sound effects, mixing and then printing back onto film becomes simplified if a film is shot on HD. Unlike bigger films, a small budget unit size is smaller – where people handle multiple functions which help cut costs further. Films like Cell, Grahanam, Black & White were completed under Rs 50 lakh budget with a minimum crew and less than 40 days of shooting. Films like Chitram, Allari, Premiste (tamil dubbed) were completed in a budget less than a crore. The recent boxoffice superhit – Ashta Chamma was completed within a budget of Rs 1.5 crore. The movie recovered its total production cost even before release by ‘pre-selling’ its television rights and ancillary. So, all the money made from boxoffice goes straight into the producer’s pockets.

There are three major factors that contributed for the increase in revenues of small budget films. They are :
1) Satellite rights
2) Hyderabad city boxoffice
3) Ancillary revenues.

1. Sattelite rights:
This is the lifeline of all small-budget movies today. Many of these films have recovered their films from purely satellite rights alone. With 11 channels in the market at present, and another 5-6 in the pipeline, the channel’s appetite for content is ever-growing. And in the Andhra, its always the film-based programs that draw the maximum TRPs. A perpetual satellite rights of these films get sold even before the film’s release – at times even acting as a source of finance. A small-to-mid budget movie can fetch anywhere between 60-1.5 crore today, where as big-budget films have fetched up to 4 crores in the recent times!

2. Hyderabad city boxoffice:
Hyderabad had a population of about 40 lakhs in the late nineties. But today the greater Hyderabad metropolitan area has nearly a crore inhabitants. So, it’s understood that the boxoffice too grew likewise in size. For a big-budget films about 20% of the domestic boxoffice revenues from Hyderabad city alone. But for many small budget hits, that ratio is as high as 35%. The 2-3 multiplexes present alone contribute over a crore rupees in collections for a hit film. With more coming up – its only going to get better. Unlike in single screens, the difference in collections between a small budget hit a ’star cast film’ isn’t very wide much if the movie is a hit – as the urban audience are more willing to experiment.

3. Ancillary rights:
Earlier the only source of revenue for a movie is from boxoffice. With the advent of cable in the 90s – television rights was a new source. But now there are newer sources of income streams such as home video rights, which fetch upto 50 lakhs today for a big-budget blockbuster and 25 lakh for a smaller film. While the sale of cassettes have fallen its compensated by the rise in CDs, mp3 downloads (legitimate through sales), FM royalties and the biggest of them all – “caller back tunes”.

These are the sources of revenue which increased in size from the past. But, growth in revenue is flat from the older streams – boxoffice collections from Ceeded, coastal Andhra towns and ‘districts’ of the Telangana. But on the whole, the size of the industry has increased. I have purposefully avoided ‘overseas market’ as its almost non-existent for small films due to various reasons. Any income from this can be termed as a ‘windfall gain’ Happy Days being the only exception – as Mr. Kammula is a brand name there.

Frankly, even I am smitten by this ‘indie style’ of filmmaking and wish to test the waters for two reasons. The first – creative restrictions are lesser in this form of filmmaking. The best form of creativity usually comes when resources are limited .Also, the producer has better say in creative and managerial decision. And atleast amongst avid film goers, the producer will earn a name for having bet on new talent and pulled off a success.

Secondly, like for a lot of other people – the sheer economics behind making one. If one calculates the RoI (return on investment), big-budget films typically can fetch only 20-25% returns if they’re a hit. But small budget films have fetched returns of 200-300% in the recent past.

The ‘high risk’ of small films: Here comes the pitfall. The people working in the two biggest film processing laboratories in Hyderabad – Prasad’s and Ramanaidu Studios tell me that nearly 50-70 such small budget films are “lying in cans” in each of their studios. The value of 100-120 odd films lying in these studios without being released could over 200 crores. These films have either stopped shooting mid-way as they’ve run out of money or dint clear the lab’s bills. Some of the films are complete, but did not return the money to the financer who has to submit the ‘Clearance letter’ allowing the lab to print the film for release.

Typically, these films are made by small-time producers who don’t lack a proper source of finance. They invest very little from their own pockets and borrow heavily from private financiers at ridiculous rate of 3% per month or 36% annually! Three times what most nationalized banks charge. Banks lend money only to producers with a track record, hence financiers are the only option. Also, unlike big-ticket films – distributors don’t buy the rights of these movies in advance. For big star-cast films, the advances paid by distributors against the rights are a major source of finance. And it comes interest-free to the producer as the distributors become investors in the project. The producers of these films screen their film for distributors. But rarely does any one take the risk and bet their money on an unknown film.

So, it’s death-spiral from here onwards for a lot of producers. Their personal money is locked in the project. They take loans from financiers mortgaging their properties. Non-payment means the property can be liquidated. Distributors mostly don’t buy the rights in advance, hence that source of finance is not available to these films. Now, they don’t have money to shoot further or repay the loan. As time lapses interest piles on.

To cut-it short it takes a lot of financial and production-planning to execute a small-budget film successfully. The filmmaker should be able to secure a source of funding, where they would not fall into the above pitfalls, but still be able to take part in the profits of the film. So, it there is a lot of risk. But as the maxim says, higher the risk – higher the reward. But one thing is for sure – we’re going to see more small budget films in the coming few years. And yes, I will be a part of it.

PS: One of the best ways for smaller filmmakers to secure funding is to approach a known producer to become a partner. He can guide in the managerial process and be a source of finance. If you’re good enough to handle production, a corporate company rich on funds or a HNI (high networth individual) like a real estate fat-cat, or NRI friend are good options.

His And Her Side

His side
-"tell her how you feel" is what my friends said
-so i picked up the phone
-called your house
-you answerd
-i said "i love you"
-and hung up right after
-the next day
-i told you it was a bet from a friend
-it was partly true
-but you didnt answer
-no sassy come back wich you allways do
-just stood there
-the walked away

My side
-he called my house
-i picked up
-he told me he loved me
-then hung up
-the next day
-i was going to tell you i loved you back
-but you said it was a bet
-i had everything planned out
-every move i planned
-every word
-but when you said that...
-i had nothing to say
-i stood and watched you
-as you broke my heart

Boy said that lie feeling she might not accept his love and to hide his true feelings, here where boys cant understand or never understand a girl from her looks,
same thing with a girl
even girl cant imagine that boy lied in fear of decline of his love.
Best thing is never give up IF YOU LOVE TRUELY

Touching Incident

(A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on a motorcycle)
Girl: Slowdown. Im scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its to scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug. (Girl hugs him)
Guy: Can u take my helmet off and put it on? Its bugging me.

In the paper the next day:
A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.

Touching Love Story - 2

A girl was sitting on a chair at the gas station she worked at. She looked up and saw her boyfriend walk in. As he was looking at snacks, a man walked in and pointed a gun at her. He had been admiring her ring her boyfriend had given to her as a token of his love. When he asked her to give it to him, she said no. Her boyfriend looked up just in time to see her shot. He ran over to the killer and beat him over the head with a hammer that was for sale. Then he ran and called 911. When the ambulance came, he was sobbing uncontrollably near his girlfriend.

The doctor came over and felt for her pulse. Then he stood up and said she was still alive. Later at the hospital, as he was sitting beside her, he asked"Why didn't you just give him the ring?" and then she softly spoke"Because when you gave it to me, you said it was part of your love for me and I knew if I gave him the ring, I would lose that love." The next day, she was pronounced dead

Touching Love story - 1

Once upon a time, there was a guy who was very much in love with this girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of papercranes as a gift to his girl. Although, at that time he was just a small executive in his company, his future doesn't seemed too bright, they were very happy together. Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualise any future for the both of them, so let's go their own ways there and then... heartbroken, the guy agreed.

When he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all these hardwork and with the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company...

"You never fail until you stop trying." he always told himself. "I must make it in life!"One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realise those were his ex-girlfriend's parents. With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same anymore, he had his own company, car, condo, etc. He had made it in life!

Before the guy can realise, the couple was walking towards a cemetary, and he got out of his car and followed them...and he saw his ex-girlfriend, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone... and he saw his precious papercranes in a bottle placed beside her tomb. Her parents saw him. He walked over and asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was stricken ill with cancer. In her heart, she had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want her illness to be his obstacle ... therefore she had chosen to leave him.

She had wanted her parents to put his papercranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again he can take some of those back with him. The guy just wept ...the worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them but knowing you can't have them and will never see them again."

A tragic story that perhaps happens only in the movies. At the end of the day, money is money is money but love is divine. In our quest for our material wealth, take time to make time for our loved ones. There will be a time when we have only memories to cling to.

1. How do I break my monotonous boring job and be you?
Ans: By taking a decision.

2. I could not go past Ayn Rand.
Ans: Reading a book is like visiting another person’s world. The more worlds you visit the more richer you become in your insights. By sticking only to Ayn Rand you are just carrying forward what you learnt only from her, thereby defeating the very purpose of knowledge. The knowledge you get from a book or any othersource should be just a stepping stone for the next level. You should not ever carry what should carry you.

7.What is your philosophy of life and your idea of a perfect life?
Ans: Not to think too much and to do what you think.

8.Ideas and feelings are the only true wealth anyone can really possess and on that account I have always been rich and I will always be, that is at least for myself. Whether that achieves anything in others perception or not it’s not my concern as like I said a million times before “I live for myself”.

Ans: What you can get away with is right and what you can’t is wrong. The things which will affect and influence that is religion, morality, social standards and the law.

What can people do when it’s too late?

There’s no such thing as too late if you truly decide what you really want to do. Right from our birth we are taken forward to get into a trap of expectations and commitments towards our family or society or God or country etc. Fair enough. Many of us have no choice but to heed them because of our physical or emotional obligations. The only alternative we have is to make the choice and psyche ourselves to make the best of it but one thing you should not ever do is to crib or complain or feel frustrated as then the whole point of living itself is lost.

Article Inspired me

Many commented on whether I would speak or behave like this if I was not successful. The word success itself is highly relative. People constantly live in either a fear of losing or in a hope of gaining. There’s no such thing as an absolute state of success. I have always been successful and that’s nothing to do with my film career. Success is something I define as to be able to get up in the morning and do what you want to do till you sleep. That does not mean that you should want to fly or rule empires. It could be anything which your capability permits and your intelligence submits.
Yes, you have your family, relationships, obligations etc. But if you want to take care of them and stand by them, you are doing what you want to do. In reality most people act and do things out of compulsion by others or within themselves rather than really wanting to do so.
I never claimed that I became successful because of this attitude of mine. All I had said was that I had the courage to bear the consequences of the decisions I took. Many of my decisions went wrong, in fact most of them. But what cannot be taken away from me is the pleasure moments I experienced in that process. By the time the result of a certain decision came about I was already into the pleasure of moments of other decisions and this has been the circle all my life.
If you are on a dry beach and you want to reach a beautiful looking island in the distance, you can make a decision to swim across or go in a boat on maybe take a plane or just fantasize that you are there on that island or psyche yourself that you are better off on the dry beach itself. But what most people will do is to constantly worry about whether there might be sharks in the sea or the boat might sink or the plane ticket is too expensive or what if there is a sudden storm, and thereby remain bitter, frustrated and fearful all their lives.
I weigh the consequences and think of the logistics and plunge in even if I don’t know swimming. I will either learn to swim or sink in the process but what I will not do at any cost is to stay put. After 2 big flops Antham and Govinda Govinda I packed my bags to Mumbai and made Rangeela. But Rangeela could have turned into a flop too. When I made so many flops how would I really know how to make a hit? Flops and hits happen by themselves whereas the only thing I can really make happen is to make a decision to make a film. For instance after all the effort and courage if I manage to reach that beautiful island, as soon as I step on it I could be killed by a lion there whose existence I don’t even know about. Not once am I saying that I know everything about what will happen. I just want to do things that I want to happen.
Once while we were travelling in a car, a guy very concernedly gave me a theory that 50 years from now we are going to have water wars in the world where everyone will die. I told him that at the next turn on the road we might be hit by a truck and die, and frankly I am not concerned about what happens to the world one second after I die. But if you truly worry about the water wars instead of sitting here and worrying why don’t you go and do some scientific research to solve the water problem. If you don’t know science then at least work as a tea boy to the scientist and contribute. But I know you would not do that as then you won’t have time to do your umpteen other activities like going to the discotheque, cinema and indulge in bitching sessions. And on the other hand if you truly constantly worry about the world being finished in 50 years, what if a smart scientist comes up with a solution in the 49th year and then you would be the biggest fool for wasting 49 years of your life worrying off.
Most people can’t differentiate between worrying and thinking, Worrying is negative energy and makes your mind run in circles breeding depression and frustration whereas thinking makes you reach a decision and the decision you reach will result in work and if the work does not result in what you wanted from it, all you have to do is Re-work.

YUVATHA(Telugu)

This movie is an okay type ...you can see this when you have nothing to do.....director has taken many liberties in the second half which are illogical,,,but the under lined comedy saves the movie.

story of few youngsters.......how the few situations in their life turn around them.. and make them desperate for money ,,,and how did they face that situation and how they saved themselves when they are in difficulties ...forms the crux of the movie.

Nikhil played role with lots of energy..........but the character resembles us ravi teja all time....heroine looks pretty and did justice to her role......other charaters too ,,,performed decently but nothing praisable..............nikhil steals the show...

director parasuram is an assosciate of puri.............so the whole movie looks like a puri movie without ravi teja and puri under crew......there is no seperate comedy track ..........but what ever hero deoes looks funny as well as heroic......music is pretty good and even the songs are picturised well...................

definitely you can see this movies as there are only few genuine hits and above averages in the industry.

SAROJA(Tamil)

Movie is pretty good........there is lot of fun and litlle bit twists which make us enjoy the movie.

story looks pretty normal but taking and the way characters are etched makes the premise very intresting.daughter of a prakash raj is kidanapped and they demand a lump sum from him,on other track the main characters travel from chennai to hyderabad to see a cricket match.
in mean while how they saved that girls life and consequences makes the story.

Everyone performed decently ....most deserving performance is prem ji amaran......he has excellent comedy timing....this movie looks good only if you see the original..dubbed version wont stay upto expectations,,,vaibhav, spb charan..etc are passable......vega is too hot to resist...with cute looks and bubbly voice she is perfect choice for role,,,nikhitha played a vamp kinda role ..but she is looking better than many other films she played......

Music is an asset to movie,,,,,,,,,yuvan makes an appearance in one of the pop song...........director venkat prabhu carried movie on his shoulders..........he can make this movie with any actor and still make movie a worth watching.........thats homework he did on the characters........... using TV artists and his earlier movie artists to make cameo's is pretty intresting.

Definitely dont miss it.........watch it for the comedy of Premji amaran and beautifull leading ladies in the movie.

Firaaq(Hindi)

Nanditha das this name inspires me alot ,This movie is her directorial debut,,do you want to know what is meant by a true passion,do you want to see a movie that comes straight from a heart,do you want to see a best directorial debut in the history of cinema contemporary to our own masala diet movies,,do you want to know how a thinking artist makes you think about an incident even after the movie.......FIRAAQ is a proud answer from me.

The story deals with after math incidents of few people related to the Gujarat riots,
there are a total of five stories in the movie,,,,,,,,,a story of a couple whose house is burnt in the riots,
story of a couple whose shope is looted in the mishap,,;;;;;;;,the story of a couple in which wife suffers from a phobia of riots hittiing her and husband encashes even in those hard hitting times,,,,
story of a small kid in search of his relative,,,,,,and story of muslim musician and his asst.,,,,,,,,every story touches your heart.

When it comes to performances i think most of them are from theatre,,,so perfection is their identity,,,,,,,,,to name a few Naseruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Raghuveer Yadav, Deepti Naval, Sanjay Suri, Shahana Goswami, Tisca Chopra,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in total run time of the movie you will not see these actors but you will identify the characters they are palying......superb performances by each and every one..........the kid had given a terrific performance.......Cinematography by ace cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran......Sreekar Prasad's editing ......Art by Gautam Sen everything is of top notch...

I cant stop praising NANDITHA DAS,,,,,,,,,,,......this movie hits you hard and makes you think what had happended after some riots and how it effects later ................................................never miss this movie at any cost ...........its not a commercial pot boiler............its a passionate movie made with true intentions

Padikathavan(Tamil)

Dhanush is the saving grace of this film, though it made an above average mark at box office, there is nothing in this film, except excellent dance movements from dhanush.

Routine run of a mill story, nothing new in it,dhanush comes from a well educated family, apart from dhanush everyone in the family is highly eduacated, so his papa will be always scolding him,to break the jinx hero wants to marry a well educated girl to get a positive status.

These type of roles are cake walk for dhanush, dance movements are awesome, tammanah plays the love intrest of dhanush, she is just used as a doll in the movie nothing to offer from her,
vivek plays main comedian role which irks you when ever you see him. so there is nothing to praise any one in the movie.

mani sharma gave music to this movie, where he used couple of songs from his telugu movies,,
background is not appealing,,ahhhhhh here comes director suraj.......he straight away lifted many scenes from telugu movies,,,,,,typical masala director ........choosed few good scenes from other movies which are help full to his story line and added them as it is without showing any of his creative abilities.

You can avoid this movie without a second thought, just see video songs for fast dance movements from dhanush.

Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu(Tamil)

This movie is directed by a debutant, who excelled in delivering a good product at the end,
though there are some cinematic experiences,,,the movie shows, village customs and traditions and innocent love story.

Story,,,,,,Its a movie based on kabadi........while including all the commercial elements adding to the main theme,,,though its a sports movie .....it does not show kabadi all through run time....the love story is pretty good....and comedy is good ..........performances are too good from everyone.....................

the main strenght of the movie is screen play..........and the direction.......though there are no recognized faces in the movie......it never bores you or tests you..........every scene is etched well and the adequate performances helped movie.........ending of the movie seemed a bit abrupt.....but i got used to those kind of ending's which are mainly specific to tamilians.

This is a genuine hit movie in 2009 in tamil..........made on a small budget..........garnered profits all over...........dont miss it ......as there only few movies that are making mark at the box office.......so its definetely worth a watch

12B(Tamil)

Its an old tamil movie directed by late jeeva, this movie is having an intresting concept as well good start cast and good music by harris jayaraj.

story::::::::This is a story of a guy runs parallely ,showing what happens if he cathces a bus called 12b on his way to an interview and what happens if he doesn't.Its an intresting premise to begin a story.even the love stories are written good.

the movie lacks good screenplay, i think jeeva may be new to direction at that point,we can see ,so many scenes which can be dealt better, hero shaam who looks cute and had good screen presence but not that effective while delivering the performance,,,simran and jyothika are highlights of the film,,,as well as music..........good story spoiled by screen play and the direction.............if we miss first 15 minutes you cant understand whats going on, in the movie.

If you want see different kinda love story ,give a try ,not a bad one,,,but not a good one also....

Recession Hitting Hard

Recession is hitting hard........all people surounding me are facing that pinch......this in turn made me busy........though i am a movie freak...........i am not getting enough time in my hand ,to see couple of movies on the week end............the monetary tensions and adjustments piling up day by day.........though i am making good rotation of money.....i was unable to settle the amounts .........its mainly because the debts and commitments increasing............though they are not for my personal intrest..........most of them are related to my relations.........thats my parents ,bro...etc,,etc..i am not even getting few hours of time to write posts................though government claims economy is getting better,,,,but i am not seeing that.............be prepared i think it will still become worse...........................NEVER LOOSE HOPE.....

Saving Private Ryan (1998)

My Reaction::::Steven speilberg is a legend, there is a vast difference in the genre of movies he has directed.this is yet another masterpiece from the legend.

Plot..........After learning that Private Ryans three brothers have all died in the war, the government attempts to locate him to send him home. The problem is they don't know if he is dead or alive behind enemy lines. So they send a team to find the remaining ryan and send back to her mother.this forms the main crust of the movie.........

Performances of Cast and crew::::::::all the performances are top notch..........tom hanks ,matt, vin diesel, etc etc each and every one just looked perfect in the role,,,,,the whole credit of the movie should be given to spielberg.........each and every shot is so realistic and you will feel that you reallly saw world war II ...........there are lot of scenes in the movie where action is combined with drama,,,,,,,,,,both runs on the same path........thats the success point of the film......emotions are perfectly blended in the movie..........

Highlights::::::
First 25 minutes of the movie is an epic of sorts,,,,,the screenplay is simply superb..........though its a 3:30 min movie ,,you never recognize when the movie is over........the death scene of vin diesel...............where tom hanks secretly cries...........and last 30 minutes are main highlights of the movie.

Tailpiece:::::::Spielberg recieved an oscar for this movie as a director .........it collected 480 million approximately,,,,,,,, made with a budget of 90 million dollars

Dev D(Hindi)

This movie represents new generation of classic devdas,i liked the movie a lot,,,,
the director anurag khasyap showed whats happening in today's youth...........this is strictly for adults,,,,,,,,,,,
story is same as devdas classic with today's intrepetation........its a movie with so many adult jokes and adult stuff......even many dialogues are realistic,,,,,,,,,abhay deol rocked in the main lead role,,,,,,,,its a truely director based movie .....though we see strong performances,,,,,,,,but in each and every scene we will notice mainly the lighting backgroung.........taking of the scene and background score...............so the above mentioned elements totally dominated the performances......
paroo is superb.........she looks gorgious ,,,,the second lead is okay but gave a good performance.......today's generation is exactly the same way as shown in the movie,,,,,may be they dont get addicted to bad stuff because of love.......but they are doing all other stuff which is shown in the movie..............

so if you want a realistic and out of box stuff......dont miss it..........if you are masala or routine movie lover.......please avoid it

Some Things Are not in OUR CONTROL

I am saying this because i recently faced an incident which made me think like this, last saturday night me and my friend went outside at 10 40 pm to grab something to eat,,,we expected atleast few fast food centers would be opened,,,but to our surprise everything is closed,,at last we saw Domino's where its luminating its opened and we went there and parked our car.,,,,heard a small sound when getting down from the car...thought some one placed some thing like some beer bottle etc... in the parking lot that might hit the car bumper........but when i reversed car to place it in the next slot of the parking lot ,heard same sound again ...when i saw what happened there ...,,,to our surprise.............the whole bumper came out in the front end of the car......as a result i need to pay $1000 to get rid of this issue,,,,,,,,because i am not the owner of the car..........
i know these kind of things happens in life.....but it became so hard for me to digest this fact......i know it will take some time to sink this incident....just in a matter of few seconds....that too i did not do anything absurd or crazy........this incident made me think alot .....but slowly coming out of this .........finally understood that somethings are not in our control'''''''..................................................The most irritating is though dominos is displaying its opened when we went near to the entrance they said they are closed.........so finally we did not eat anything went back home and ate chapathi with little hummus and yogurt.........this shows that we came outside at that moment to just get this wastage of money incident...........I strongly believe that everything in life happens,,,,has a strong reason related to it ..........so should see what this leads to...........

Obstacles In LiFE

Rather than success,,,,,,,,,i feel failures and obstacles are so important in life.......if you keep on winning it does not mean that there is no one to beat you............but it says that you are not taking up a challenging task..............for example let us keep this way ............if you keep on winning .........then you will miss that,,,, taste of success at some point of time..........think of life where you dont have any problems............surely you will get bored with in hours..........there should be some tension in life always ........which helps you become stronger..................its part of life to have debts,,,,,,,loose a friend........loose money.......loose love or your girl........loose dear ones....loose a job...........but these things should not deter your character,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,learn ...learn....learn.....life should be a learning experience at each part of life......never feel of things which you have lost in the past..........dont make your present worse by thinking of past and not working for future.............best thing is work with vengence to the past with the help of your present making future more productive............

Keep Your SPIRIT High

I know its difficult to be on high spirits all the time,,,,,,,,but if you believe that you are capable of doing a particular task or if you see that you have that particular thing in you ,,,,,,then try to stick to it........what happens at the most if you stick to it is..........i think you will miss some lively things which everyone does in common......but at the end those things which you missed will not bother you much because here you are striving or fighting in life for a thing that you strongly believe............if you dream a same thing many times.............it means you are so desperate in owning that particular thing.....just give a try to it...........once if you stick to your dream...........slowly it poisons your mind and it becomes a """"""""passion"""""""""" to you.................when this passion starts filling all of your nerves......you will slowly start ignoring other things which are not related to your passion........here where you start speaking in a high ambitious manner famously called """"""vedantham""""""

The Basketball Diaries (1995)

My Reaction::::::another drug addict related movie with a happy ending ,,,,,,,,,its a true story...............but the movie is not a gripping one at all ..........though its having hig profile actors in their early stage of their career like Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg

Story::::::::::Its An autobiographical chronicle of the lives of four kids until they become youth. It is a picture of bad kids who start with small crimes and end up braking bones and more. ,,,,,,,,,

Performances :::::::::::Leonardo DiCaprio tried his best to put all his energy,,,,,,,,,,but some where we cant connect to the movie at any point of time.the role done by Lorraine Bracco as hero's mother is the only one which is of first rate .

Highlights::::::: i was not excited to any of the scenes.............only to scenes where hero's mom gets hurted by his son ........are little bit moving

Requiem for a Dream (2000)

My Reaction::::::::::::You will be in a shock to see how people will degrade themselves to get things to which they are addicted,,,,this is shown in a more realistic manner.....its not a commercial movie........its life of four drug addicts............SAY NO TO DRUGS,,,,,,,,,

Story::::Requiem for a Dream is a story of hopes and dreams of four ambitious people which are shattered when their drug addictions begin spiraling out of control.....the story revolves around a mom and his son and his girlfriend and a boy friend,,,,,mom dreams to appear on tv show,,,,guy looks for easy settlement in life with help of his friend and love.........story moves as how drugs change their lifes ......and shows how miserable it could be when addicted to drugs

Performances of cast and crew:::::::::
Fisrt i would like to mention is the background score (Clint Mansell),,,,,,,its hunting me even after the movie:::::::::::............the lady in the mom character(Ellen Burstyn) stands first,,,,,,,,,next is heroine (Jennifer Connelly)......... you will cry automatically for some scenes where she unwillingly goes to get money.......and drugs..........next hero(Jared Leto) and next the colored guy(Marlon Wayans),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its a book written by Hubert Selby Jr.....he is the screenplay writter too........i think he might have seen some one so closely who are addicted to drugs............director gave life to the characters in the novel..........

Highlights::::::::
Last 20 minutes is heights of reality ,,,you will never feel as you are seeing a movie,,after 10 to 15 minutes you will get involved into movie as you are next to one of the characters in the movie.........all four characters in the movie gave their one of the memorable performances,,,,,,,,,,,,
....the performance of Jennifer moves you in a scene ,,that shows a room full of drug addicts and sex addicts
Trivia:::::::::::The mom character played by Ellen Burstyn has been nominated for oscars but she did not win it..........

3.Oscar Nominated Animated Movie(2008)

Wall-E
Though the movie is good,,,,,,,,but its total story depicts the american society in the second half of the movie

story::::It follows the story of a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a waste covered Earth far in the future. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure that would change the destiny of both his kind and humanity,,,,,,,,,,,,,, leads the story

The characters are fascinating and also superbly etched .....its fiction genre in the animation.......
the best part of the movie is the fiction story ........even the characters are so amazing .....the love sequences between two robots touches you............thats the best part of the movie........its not an universal film because ........later half truely depicts the american life ..........so its hard for people to connect to it .especially from asian side.........

the main highlight of the film is the love story and the way the robo's propose each other and also the sequences in which wall-e tries to be with other robo and help it...

as it recieved oscar ........you should not give a miss to it..........its one of the higly succesfull animated movies at the box office.........

2.Oscar Nominated Animated Movie(2008)

The Bolt::::
Its the story of a small dog:::::::where it hosts a tv series called the bolt:::::::its an action series, where the the dog is the main lead in that tv show and it saves her boss when ever needed,,,,,,so crew of the show make dog believe that it has that super powers they show in the tv,,,such that they can get good performance from it......so after finishing shooting one day it escapes from the tv show crew and comes to real world and want to save her boss in the real world as it did in the show....this runs the story .......as how it saved his boss in the real world.....

Though movie has the intresting plot ....it does not tickle your funny bones full extent...there are few scenes which are funny...its crafted well but i think only kids can enjoy this to full extent............the best part of the movie is the miley cyrus cat character.............then comes rhino .......then the dog character.....the scene involving pigeions is a funny one

Highlight of film is the cat character.........all scenes where bolt commands the dog to help it in saving her boss are hilarious.............and also the scenes where rhino keeps on praising bolt are also good
A well crafted movie give a try when you wanna laugh....

1.Oscar Nominated Animated Movie(2008)

The oscar nominated animated movies are Bolt,Wall-E,Kung fu Panda
Let me start with which i like most
1:;;;Kung Fu Panda,,
i liked this one most because its truely a masala cinema in animation, the age old story ......... a village will be there and the protectors of the village are looking for a hero who will fight with the evil and save the village from it............as usual panda is the main lead with no heroic elements in it..........which is fat and under taking father's noodles business................but one fine day panda will be seleted as the hero in a funny manner.......later how panda got trained to face evil and how it saved the village lasts the story,,,,

I prefered this movie because it has lot of funny elements which make you enjoy thoroughly through out the movie.......Panda rocks........if you see it on the big screen you will start laughing by its gestures...........the other characters which are intresting are.........the main guru ....then comes the trainer...........then comes the competitors of panda........

Highlights,,,,,,,,
The training sequence is the highlight phaze of the movie,,,,,,,,,,then comes the comic elements...

Summing up:::::
if you like animation movies you should give try on this......

Trivia:::::::::::::Kung Fu Panda was also well-received in China. It made nearly 110 million Chinese Yuan by July 2, 2008, becoming the first animated film to make more than 100 million Yuan in Chinese box offices

Hitch(2005)

Time :::::::::28 feb 2009 saturday

My Reaction:::::Wow i think this is the best romantic comedy i have ever seen.....though i saw the remake version of this in hindi(partner).......but the remake does not even come closer to this awesome original.........strongly recommended ,,,,,,, if you did not see hitch,,,,,, please rent a dvd or download it immediately.......

Story::::::::it's the story of a date doctor ......who helps people who are in deep love.........by helping them in getting a date and making them to catch hold of their true love's........in a series of events....the date doctor loves a gossip column writer...........where the story takes a turn against the date doctor............and series of sequences leads the story by showing how he finally win his love.......

Performances::::::::::::I was bowled by the performance of Will smith...............i always thought he was an action hero......but when i saw pursuit of happiness......i thought i was completely wrong...........i never imagined a colored guy doing this kinda stuff .................with such an ease that makes us keep on praising him..........man he is terrific.........eva mendis..........perfect for the role ...as usual if a movie is hit we feel every character in the movie is perfect.,,,,,,,this follows the same rule............kevin.....amber,,,,,,,,second lead pair ...julie///////////.....friend of heroine..........every one makes perfect look to the film.......................The greatest part of the movie is writing the screenplay..........and the background.........and then comes the director...........everything looks first rate..........for a perfect movie......

Highlights:::::::::Will smith..............will...................smith.................he is legend /////////
kevin bisch the screenplay writer...........the directors and eva mendis.............

scene where kevin dances for usher song,,,,,,,,

and at end of the movie the marrige scene and following song rocks big time........
the scene which comes in the room where all different people trying to date some unknown person is excellent..........

Summing up:::::::::this will be in my top list in the genre of romantic comedy.............you will surely agree with me after seeing this movie.................

Trivia:::::::

Robinne Lee's character (Cressida) was originally offered to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, but she could not take the role due to scheduling problems

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

Time :::::::::7 FEB 2009

My Reaction::::::::there are some movies which will not have any glitz in the movie but we can see solid performances and sound backend technical work ...this is that kind of film...........see the film for some mind blowing performances...........................

story::::::::::::::::::Officials send A rebel to a mental institution to assess rebel's mental condition,,,,,,,,,,,whether he is mentally ill or a lazy rebel.........Upon arrival at mental institution he brings some hope and humor in the life of the patients there.........which makes him to go against the head nurse,,,,,,she behaves as a dictator ,,,,,,,,,,how rebel deals with patients and head nurse,,,,,,,,,,,, forms rest of the movie

Performances of cast and crew,,,,,,,,
This movie is adapted from a novel,,,,,,,director adapted the novel perfectly which shows the day in and out of mentally ill people............screenplay deserves a mention here.........the movies strenght are the performances given by the mentally ill people...........jack nicholson gave one of his career's best performance..........each and every one performed their role as method actors................the guy whos hates the sound is superb..........and even the guy who smokes always..............and guy who wants to date a girl.............head nurse looks like that she is in that job from a long time and she performed it as a cake walk.....

Highlights;;;;;;;;;;;;;
jack nicholson is the main highlight of the film,,,,,,,,,,
background score hunts you many times..........
the best scene in the movie is jack giving commentary for a match........and the other scene where he bet with a guy for lifting water fountain...

summing up::::::::
never give a miss to this if you are a drama genre lover ,,,,,the movie makes you feel for the lifes of mentally ill people...........all the movie is shot in a single room and few scenes outside the institution.........so budget is less for this movie.......but it garnered huge profits making jack nicholson as a most bankable actor.................

Trivia::::::::::::

The movie was the first to win all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture,
Actor in Lead Role,
Actress in Lead Role,
Director,
Screenplay) since It Happened One Night in 1934, an accomplishment not repeated until 1991, by The Silence of the Lambs.

Seven Samurai (Shichinin no samurai (1954))(Japanese)

Time :::::::::14 FEB 2009

My Reaction::::::::::The movie is of 3:30 min durtion,,,,and even a black and white movie.......so i was not intrested in seeing it,,,but after seeing it i was unable to believe the way director presented the movie,
not in a single frame you feel bore,,,,,if you observe keenly ,,,,many films are inspired from this one.........the director """""""""Akira Kurosawa"""""crafted a master piece,...

Story::::a poor village hiring Samurai's to protect them from Bandits without robbing all their food and girls in the village.............

Peformances of cast and crew..........
the man behind this movie is Akira Kurosawa" he is writer as well as directotr.........
each and every scene is master piece...............the research did by the writers is pretty much evident in every scene of the movie,,,,,,,,,all the performances in the movies are so natural so that you will be involved into the movie as you are a part of that village.........

when villagers come to know that bandits are going to come and rob the village after harvesting ......they all gather together for a solution ..............they go to village head for a solution.........then he suggests to hire some samurai's to protect the village.................

here the story starts ..............
movie is presented in a phasely manner,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
first being a villager going to some other place and requesting and hiring the samurai's......
the way all samurai's are gathered is an excellent phase...........introducing each samurai with one highlight scene and showing their skills.........wow you will be bowled to the way how movie progress......

later samurai move to the village and make the background work for the fight with the bandits to save the village..............the ground works shows how much is the research the unit has put. in...............after seeing this movie i felt that if you really keep good research in the characters then it will surely touch the audience..........here it shows how the wars are planned in the olden days

the next phase is the war or fighting with the bandits......................the war lasts for an hour,,,,it will depict each and every moment of the war in a precise manner........

I am not sure about the actors names...........so not mentioning each of them........but everyone gave an outstanding performance.............the movie leaves an impact on you that will take long time to forget about it.......................

HIghlights::::::::::
each and everyscene in the movie is highlight...we cant name a few........
Akira Kurosawa"""""he is a legend filmmaker.....

Summing up::::::::::If you are movie buff please dont miss this movie at any cost............if you are passion about films then you can keep this movie as reference in your library........

Tailpiece:::::::::after seeing this i started researching about the director Akira Kurosawa" and trying to get a copy of all his movies................Power star pawan kalyan named his son as AKirandan after this director

Enduku ila ,,,,,,,,

This happened On our way to see arundathi movie in atlanta on saturday jan 24 2009...we live in columbus ,georgia,,,,,it will take nearly 2 hours to reach the theatre which plays regional movies.............on the way we had a discussion almost this happens to all indians who are living abroad.........the discussion is..........the previous day we saw slumdog millionaire,,,so obviously we had a discussion of the controversy of amithab on slumdog millinaire.........that is regarding the slums and regarding the improvement in india........a guy called ram started saying that they should do like this and like that..........and giving countless suggessions and blaming politicians and also people for not having awareness of their acts that kills them through contagious diseases so as usual every one in the car included their support of statements for this.......

really i am fed up with this kind of passive statements.......all these people who talk with out keeping efforts for the change are worst than those politicians......to be frank it includes me....because i wrote an article regarding my suggestions to traffic............dooorapu kondalu nunupu annattu ........asalu dani change kosam oka intha kuda effort petta kunda.....how can they comment.............it will be like a reviewer commenting on movie actually without seeing it..........daani lothu enthano choodataniki kuda time waste cheyyaru........but timepass ki matuku ee topic theesukuni ...............everyone gives vague statements.......................

I strongly believe the people who work abroad are not at all patriotic....because every one here ,,, all time they think of their billings......how to increase their billing rate and salary........i bet you everyone working abroad pray daily for the down turn of indian economy..........because it increases the dollar rate........I remember many say,,,, that they are waiting for dollar to become rs50 or rs 48 etc etc...to send money to india.........

Story::::
from ages we are seeing the same story in all the thrillers....old janma lo paga ni ee janma lo therchukovatam........but adding some spices to it though.........

Performances of cast and crew:::::::::
Anushka..seeing her doing all glam roles::she tried differently here........she succeded to some extent only.......at some places the dialogues are not in lip sync.(may be problem at our theatre).......and the lenghty dialogues did not suit her.......and the dance scene with drums........graphics are nice but her performance is not nice........

sonu sood.............ichina role ki nyayam chesadu.......but aa role endi.........asalu aa dance teacher killing incident choosaka...i totallly lost intrest in the movie.......((( I believe the cruelty in a man can be shown even with out blood shed))))

shyaji shinde::::::manchi role easy ga chesadu......
family members etc etc ala vachi ila velli poyaru...pedda ga cinemaki asset evvaru leru..
cinema lo background score is not at all upto mark....we will hear osey ramulamma music through out the movie::::::
cinemalo bagundi ante okka graphics......mana telugu cinema range inko step theesuku vellayi...
routine story.........good screenplay(not excellent),,,,excellent production values.

direction is not upto the mark....there are many scenes you will feel uncomfortable in theatre..
only thing or only man you can whole heartedly applaud for the movie is the committed maker
SHYAM PRASAD REDDY
Highlights:::::
scenes which are having graphics

Summing up::::::
last time reviews bagunnayi ani kotha bangaru lokam ki vellam ...disappointed because it is not upto that hype created...same here also.........i am pretty much JEEVI of idlebrain is bribbed these days..........and ilane hype vachi some time back bommarillu ki vellam.......its masterpiece..
so to see grandeur and graphics you can see movie once:::::::

Tailpiece::::::
motham oka 30 memebers vacharu show ki...........and even next show ki line lo oka 50 untaru adi kuda max..this is the situation in atlanta one of the main centers in usa where we had 50 days run of ready and jalsa in same theatre........please note its first saturday of the movie released in USA,,,,,,,.so its not a blockbuster in US
